bbdo_160x120Most of BBDO Detroit’s remaining 450 employees will take a mandatory two-week unpaid furlough this month.

The ad agency is characterizing the time off as both a “furlough” and an “unpaid vacation.”

Twenty-five employees will continue to work, to support BBDO North America accounts; they will also be furloughed for a week.

Many of those furloughed work on the Chrysler account.

BBDO is a worldwide advertising agency network, with its headquarters in New York. It has 17,200 employees in 287 offices in 77 countries. BBDO was named Agency of the Year in 2005 by ADWEEK, Advertising Age, and Campaign Magazine.
