Ad firm JWT, a subsidiary of Martin Sorrell’s giant WPP Group, took home the Grand Effie at the Australian Effie Awards for an ad campaign on behalf Allen’s Jellies. Allen’s Jellies, an Australian confection which had been experiencing flagging sales, saw a resurgence in business after JWT’s campaign. Perhaps the most memorable of JWT’s ads featured a giant doll walking down a crowded city street, showering onlookers with lollipops.
One of the largest ad agencies in the world, JWT counts among its clients Bayer, Microsoft, and Nestle (which owns Allen’s Jellies).
